We’re back after the bye week! The Huskers football team needed a weekend to regroup and can get after it again this week.
Hopefully most of you were able to enjoy a long weekend and were able to reflect on the purpose of Veterans Day. Here at DC Huskers, we want to pass on our sincerest appreciations to all of the military veterans (past, present, and future) in the DC Huskers email distribution list. Your dedicated service to our nation has allowed us to enjoy the Nebraska Cornhuskers, college football, and our way of life and secured our future for generations! Thank you!
GAME WATCH: Join the DC Huskers at Penn Quarter Sports Tavern, 639 Indiana Ave NW, Washington DC, 20004, for the 10th game of the season as the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the Wisconsin Badgers November 16th, 2019. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM EST.
 
As always, Husker trivia will happen at halftime, with a prize (beer or other soda) going to our contestants who answer their questions correctly! [And we always make sure our contestants win at Husker trivia.]
GAME WATCH RAFFLE: We’ll also be holding our regular Husker raffle to raise money for our DC Huskers scholarships. Raffle tickets remain $5 for 7 tickets, or $1 per ticket.
T-SHIRTS: As always, we’ll be selling our DC Huskers T-shirts too for $20/per.
MARYLAND GAME TAILGATE (Last Week to buy tickets): DC Huskers is hosting a pre-game tailgate for the Maryland game on Nov 23rd. Once the game starts the tailgate will start to close down. TASTE OF NEBRASKA: Join the Nebraska Society of Washington, D.C. for the 2019 Taste of Nebraska on Saturday, December 7!

Featuring Runza, Valentino’s Pizza, Dorothy Lynch and Elk Creek Water, Taste of Nebraska will be held at Irish Channel, 500 H St NW Washington, DC, 20001. Raffles and a livestream of the Nebraska Huskers vs. Creighton Bluejays men’s basketball game will be available.

Ticket are $45 and includes food, two drinks, elk creek water, and one raffle ticket

Money earned from this event goes toward providing scholarships to undergrad students, with ties to Nebraska, coming to Washington, DC to intern!
